24 June 2010: Polaris Attend Defence Vehicle Dynamics 2010
Laura Law attended Defence Vehicle Dynamics (DVD) 2010, held at Millbrook. Many of Polaris’ customers from
DE&S Joint Support Chain (JSC) and industry were present at the event, including representatives from Logistik UK,
to which the Company has recently been providing bid support with cost analysis and risk management services.
8 June 2010: Polaris' Quality Certification Successfully Renewed
BSI visited Polaris to assess the Company for its continued certification to BS EN ISO 9001:2008 for
"the provision of software and management consultancy services". Polaris was successful and has had
its certification renewed.
19 May 2010: Polaris Attend Galorath User Conference

Laura Law, Consultant, attended Galorath International’s 2010 User Conference at the Williams F1 Conference Centre.
Galorath are one of the subcontractors who provide services to MOD and Dstl through Polaris' framework arrangements,
and the two companies enjoy a close working relationship.

13 May 2010: Polaris Attend APM Knowledgeshare
Laura Law attended the APM’s Knowledgeshare 2010, on 13th May 2010.
29 April 2010: Polaris Exhibit at Dstl Roadshow
Polaris were awarded EA902049, to provide contracted temporary workforce and consultancy to Dstl, on 26 April 2007.
This has proved to a be a very successful contract for Polaris, with over 40 consultants placed and more than 100
tasks undertaken for Dstl over the past three years. This roadshow allowed Polaris and the other companies with Dstl
contracts to meet with technical staff at Dstl Portsdown West.
26 March 2010: Polaris Present at OR SOciety Simulation Workshop
Felix Dux presented at SW10 OR Society's 5th Simulation Workshop held at The Abbey Hotel Golf and Country Club
Worcestershire on 23-24 March. The title of Felix's paper was "Discrete Event Simulation to Evaluate ABC Classification for Defence Inventories". It reported a project for the Centre For Defence Enterprise (CDE) jointly conducted with Dr Patrick Beullens of the Universitiy of
Portsmouth and Professor Ruud Teunter of the University of Groningen.
25 March 2010: Polaris Attend ADS Maritime Industry Day
Polaris has provided consultancy in the maritime domain since its foundation in 2001. Jane Drysdale,
Commercial Manager, attended the ADS day to gain a better insight into the future of above and underwater
capability.
23 March 2010: Polaris Attend Defence Research 2010
David Bangert attended the annual Defence Research conference in Manchester to establish new links, and renew
old relationships, with customers and business partners. As a supplier of services to Dstl, understanding the
shape of future MOD research is critical to the Company.
18 January 2010: Polaris awarded sub-contract to support Submarine Dismantling Project (SDP)
Polaris have secured a contract to develop the Concept of Analysis for the SDP, a category A project run by
DE&S to oversee the dismantling of the UK's out of service submarines. The contract is with BMT Hi-Q Sigma,
who act as customer friend to the team at DE&S, and which with Polaris has developed a strong working relationship
through the Future Logistics Information Services (FLIS) project.
23 September 2009: Carl Dalton Joins Polaris Board

Carl Dalton has joined the board of Polaris as an executive director. Carl, shown here at
DSEi 2009 with David Bangert,
Polaris Managing Director, and DMA Director General Rees Ward, will develop Polaris’ capability in cost analysis and risk assessment, to complement its expertise in Operational Analysis.
Carl has previously been a director at HVR Consulting Services Limited and Galorath International, and will play a key role in driving the expansion of the company into new markets.

13 October 2009: Polaris attend INNOVATE 09 Conference
David Bangert attended the INNOVATE 09 conference in London, organised by the Technology Strategy Board.
This event was well-attended by Knowledge Transfer Networks (KTN's) and provided opportunities for diverse
networking with potential customers and collaborators.
28 September 2009: Polaris awarded contract to support PJHQ
Since February Polaris have been developing a tool to allow planning staff at PJHQ to determine the cumulative
risk of using Contractors Support to Operations (CSO) for current and future operations. This contract, the
third, will develop the final version of the tool for use at PJHQ, and has been placed by ACDS(Log Ops).
22 September 2009: Polaris present paper at the SCAF Annual Conference
David Bangert gave a paper on 'Measuring Research Value for Money' at the Annual Society for Cost Analysis and Forecasting (SCAF) Conference in London.
