David Bangert gave the paper “Measuring Research Value for Money” at the Society for Cost Analysis and Forecasting (SCAF) Annual Conference, held at the Royal Institution of Naval Architects, London, on 22 September 2009.

The paper was based on a wide range of research analysis and management work conducted by Polaris, and made the case that without adequate information and analysis, it is simply not possible to measure research Value for Money (VFM). Polaris are members of SCAF and regularly contribute to conferences organised by the Society.

Carl Dalton has joined the board of Polaris as an executive director. Carl, shown here at DSEi 2009 with David Bangert, Polaris Managing Director, and DMA Director General Rees Ward, will develop Polaris’ capability in cost analysis and risk assessment, to complement its expertise in Operational Analysis. Carl has previously been a director at HVR Consulting Services Limited and Galorath International, and will play a key role in driving the expansion of the company into new markets.
