MARVEL

MARVEL is a software tool which is used to structure problems, assess performance and support invetment analysis. Developed for Dstl, the tool is often used by Polaris to undertake projects based around the Perform™ methodology.

MARVEL has been used to conduct numerous portfolio healthchecks for UK Government, delivering information to help decision makers shape their future thinking. Key to its success is its ability to rapidly structure problems and capture information, either ‘live’ at facilitation sessions or through data entry spreadsheets. The simplicity and power of the tool makes it easy to work with stakeholders to deliver benefit.

MARVEL is used both to assess the relative merits of different projects, and to gauge how well a portfolio meets the needs of its commissioning organisation, when taken as a whole.
